Privacy Policy

ZestNote: Notes & Lists ("ZestNote", "the app") is an Android app for notes, checklists, a simple business ledger and everyday tools, published by Orbitex Solutions.

ZestNote does not require an account. Your notes, checklists and business records are stored on your device and are not uploaded to Orbitex Solutions servers.

The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob, and optional Premium plans are sold through Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains what stays on your device, what information third-party services such as Google receive, and the choices you have.

The following information is created by you and saved locally in the app's private storage. We (Orbitex Solutions) never receive it:

• Text notes, checklists, reminders, folders, pins, archive and Recycle Bin items
• Images you add to notes, drawings and voice memos you record
• Business ledger entries, including customer names, phone numbers, addresses and transaction amounts you type in
• Tool data such as habits, water intake, tally counts, date of birth in the age calculator, QR scan history and currency converter selections
• Your app PIN, optional security question, lock settings, theme, language and other preferences
• Your Premium status, saved after Google Play confirms a purchase

This data is stored using an on-device database and Android app storage. Uninstalling the app removes it.

The free version of ZestNote shows banner, native, interstitial, app-open and optional rewarded ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob). Users with an active Premium plan do not see ads.

To show ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and send to Google:

• Device identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID
• Approximate location, derived from your IP address (no GPS location is used)
• App interactions with ads, such as ad views and taps
• Diagnostics and crash information related to ad loading and performance

This information is processed by Google and may be shared with Google's advertising partners, under Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Your notes, checklists, images, voice memos and business records are never sent to ad networks.

Consent: In the European Economic Area, the UK and other regions where it is required, ZestNote uses Google's consent message to ask for your choices before personalised ads are shown. You can review or change those choices at any time from Settings > Ad privacy options in the app.

Your controls: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads).

Premium plans (weekly, monthly, yearly and lifetime) are sold and processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Your payment details (such as card information) are handled by Google and are never shared with us or stored in the app.

The app receives only the information needed to unlock Premium, such as which plan you bought, the purchase status and a purchase token, and keeps it on your device. We do not operate our own server that stores your purchases.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can cancel or manage subscriptions at any time in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions. Google's handling of payment data is described in the Google Payments Privacy Notice.

A few tools need an internet connection. They do not send your notes or any personal information you enter:

• Currency Converter: downloads public exchange rates from Coinbase (api.coinbase.com), the open currency-api service (via cdn.jsdelivr.net or currency-api.pages.dev) and open.er-api.com. These requests contain no personal data, but, like any internet request, the providers can see your device's IP address. The latest rates are saved on your device for offline use.
• Voice typing: if you use voice typing, the audio is processed by the speech recognition service installed on your device (for example, Google), under that provider's privacy practices. ZestNote does not store or upload this audio itself.
• QR scanning: QR codes are decoded on your device using Google ML Kit through Google Play services. Camera images are not saved or uploaded by ZestNote.

Some features only run when you choose to use them:

• Backup & restore: creates a backup file that you save to a location you pick (for example, Google Drive or your phone's storage) using Android's file picker. We do not receive or store your backups.
• Share and export: notes, PDFs, QR codes and results are sent through the Android share sheet to the app you select.
• Payment reminders: in the business ledger, you can send a reminder to a customer through WhatsApp, SMS or another app you choose.
• Calls, email, links and Play Store: open your phone, email app, browser or Google Play when you tap them.

Anything shared this way is handled by the app or service you select, under that provider's privacy practices.

ZestNote only asks for permissions when you use the related feature. You can deny or revoke them in Android settings; the rest of the app keeps working.

• Camera: to scan QR codes and take photos for notes
• Microphone: to record voice memos and use voice typing
• Notifications and exact alarms: to deliver reminders at the time you set, including after the device restarts
• Biometrics (fingerprint / face): to unlock the app or locked notes. Biometric data is handled by Android and is never accessible to ZestNote
• Photos: images are picked through Android's photo picker; only the images you select are copied into the app
• Internet and Advertising ID: used for ads, Google Play purchases and exchange rates as described above

ZestNote does not access your contacts, call logs, SMS messages or precise (GPS) location.

You are in control of your data:

• Delete individual notes, checklists, customers or entries inside the app, then empty the Recycle Bin
• Uninstall ZestNote to remove all data stored by the app on that device
• Delete any backup files you saved to Google Drive or your phone
• Reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android settings, and manage data held by Google at myaccount.google.com

Because we do not store your content on our servers, we cannot view, recover or delete it for you. For any privacy request, you can still contact us at the address below.

App data is kept in Android's private app storage, which other apps cannot access under normal device conditions. Optional PIN and fingerprint lock add protection for the app or individual notes.

Connections used for ads, purchases and exchange rates are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Local note content is not end-to-end encrypted, so we recommend using a device screen lock and keeping your device updated.

ZestNote is a general productivity app for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and ads in the app are not intended for children.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support email, please contact us and we will delete that correspondence.

We will update this Privacy Policy when ZestNote's features or data practices change, and change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before or when the related features are released.
